Golfing at UGA…

I played golf last week, on the Georgia University course. It was a really nice course, and i sucked, big time! I think i was still injured from the crash in the USPro Crit, where i hurt my back – at least i can use that excuse for not beating Oldy Dave!

I spent most of the day in the bunkers, averaging around 20 shots per hole!

Keally’s Old Man, who has named himself “Big Oldy Dave”, spent most of the day in the woods, but gave me a hiding on the score card!

The pin has the UGA logo on it. Unfortunately, i don’t think i ever made it to the pin (aside from taking it out for Dave to hole)! Each hole i just picked the ball up out of the bunker and put it in my pocket!

There has been a lot of training going down this week. Motivation is still really good, and hopefully the season ends well. We have been getting a lot of coffee drinking done at the roasting house too, check out how cool the porch is for chilling, pre and post-ride!

The first college football game of the season is tomorrow, so hopefully we can get tickets and watch a good game! My next update should have some good pictures of the game, and of the Atlanta 100km race Monday morning…

Bit of a rushed update i know, but i will do a better one next time…

No wonder the golf sucks – I’m surprised Old Dave let you on the course in that getup. Lucky you didn’t decide to focus on golf, it will save the curator, big time. Michael has got some pics of the bone sticking out of his finger, so maybe we’ll try and get that on the site for you. Show you what tough guys can take. Back to cool weather here dude, not so good after a week or so of sweet warm stuff. Back on go the leg warmers. And I got some Skins for Dad’s day, so I hope they help with the riding. Good luck with the Atlanta race, as it must be getting towards the last race of the season – and will they let you have a go?! Possum plague still causing trouble. We need a big game hunter here. Say gidday to the WWF bad dude too.

Nice one, the WWF bad dude is actually WWE these days, you have to keep up with the program old boy! As for the golf, last time when we played, and i wasn’t injured, i was putting it to Oldy Dave, until i cracked on the last hole and landed in two bunkers, laying to rest my three shot lead!

Tom, you forgot to mention that “Oldy” Dave also drove the greens on the Par 3’s, one 185 yards, and another 178 yards, with a 5 iron on each! The shots you referenced being in the woods, were obviously a result of out driving the fairways! : ) Good luck In Michigan!
