Allergy Season
A Day Down Under April 2nd, 2008Welcome to Allergy Season in the South East!
I mentioned it briefly last year, but this year it will get more of a mention for a couple of reasons; there is not much else going on other than pollen, and it is getting me pretty good!
I get really bad hay fever at the best of times, and i actually take prescription medicine for my allergies, so when the pollen is so bad you can see it, i cop it good and proper!
Check out some of the pictures i have taken of the pollen:
Here is the pollen washed into a puddle after it rained on the weekend.

Most of the cars outside the apartment have got so much pollen on them that the rain can’t even wash it away.

This car even washed their windscreen because there was so much pollen on it!

It is pretty crazy, and annoying too, for someone with bad allergies! Every training ride i end up coming back covered in pollen, my bike is covered in pollen, and even the scooter is too, and it is undercover!
My allergies have turned into a cold for the moment, so hopefully i can shake it soon before it gets any worse!
Coming up this weekend we have a Georgia Cup in Gainesville. It is going to be fun ripping it up in a race, and will be good to dust the TT legs off too. Hopefully the form is good enough to get a win in either the criterium or the road race!
Have a look at this stud! Hilton Clarke showing off his ride for 2008… Looking good mate! I think he looks better in this picture here… Make sure you click on the link!
Actually, you may notice my new look site! It is still in the process of reconstruction, but it looks bad-ass anyway. In a week or so it is going to look wicked-bad-ass! I have updated the sponsors page, so check out some of the team’s great sponsors. I am also in the process of getting a better (or even one that works) photo page happening! Hope you enjoy it. Any ideas or comments, please make contact, or better still, leave a comment! Thanks!
Anyway dudes, I hope everyone is well. I have a bit more going on in the next few weeks, so i can give you a more interesting read about things other than pollen and my complaining!
Laters dudes…

You forgot to mention that your wonderful purple scooter is now yellow! Way too much pollen here in Georgia. Hope your allergies go away soon, they are even making me sick. I still love you though!

Hi Darl,
Too bad about the hayfever. Have your herbalife sponsors got some natural medication that’s allowable and would work for some relief? That’d be a good thing.
Your cousin Louise had a baby boy Oliver Peter on the 5th April and she and Steve are so thrilled.
We need a picture of the new look scooter to be up to date.
Hope you’re better soon and have some good luck in the races. Also hope you are in big races.
Speak soon,
love mum xxx
